The cost is just $5 per month per project while it’s stored on the cloud server. Newbs like me keep forgetting "Fairlight" is the new word for audio when working in Resolve. The Blackmagic Cloud allows you to host project libraries on the DaVinci Reserve Project Server, allowing up to 10 people to collaborate as long as they have a local copy of the media. So it sounds like the timeline plays you 48k but allows you to render higher at the end? Is this right?įinal Update: I was wrong You DO have to set the sample rate at the beginning. ![]() Does this also apply to the audio? Does Fairlight just always operate at 192 or something and let you downsample at the end? Cause that's what it's starting to look like.Įdit: Ok so I searched here and this post seems at least similar to what I'm asking. As I learned this week with the video tracks, the output defaults to your timeline settings. I see that I can render up to 192k in the delivery page but I keep wondering what are my project settings? Audio sample rate doesn't seem to appear in the project settings menu (Shift + 9). I am now thinking about using 96k in my projects since I've been starting to adopt it on the audio side of things (in the recording studio etc.) Currently the Resolve project I am working on has these 96k files. However, I realized today that YouTube now accepts 96k audio which is cool. Why don't you have to pick a sample rate at the beginning of a new project like you do with frame rate? I created 96k audio for my project but forgot to also mixdown 48k versions. I'll work for you for free!
